Initial migration registration

Within 3 days (excluding holidays and weekends) of arrival at BMSTU and settling in the student residence, a foreign citizen must submit to the Visa and registration department the following documents:

  • passport and a copy of it
  • migration card
  • rental agreement for residential premises at the student residence of BMSTU (provided with the initial application or when changing the place of stay)
  • detachable part of the migration registration form (in case of migration registration at a different place of stay prior the arrival at BMSTU) and 2 copies of it;

In case of staying at a residential area not belonging to BMSTU (hotel, hostel, rental place, living in an apartment of relatives, etc.), the administration of the hotel or hostel deals with the migration registration within a day from the date of arrival, or an individual – the owner of the place – within 7 working days from the date of arrival of a foreign citizen to the place of stay in the territory of the Russian Federation.

After the migration registration at the place of actual stay, it is necessary to submit to the Visa and Registration department of BMSTU the documents confirming that fact, namely:  the migration card and the detachable part of the arrival notification. 

If a student has a registration in a private apartment, then he must inform the Visa and Registration Department.
