Academic and methodological work

In order to improve the quality of education, an important task of the department is to enhance the academic and methodological support of the disciplines:

• “Russian as a Foreign Language”, “Mathematics”, “Physics”, “Computer Graphics”, “Informatics” (for future Bachelor and Specialist students);
• “Russian as a Foreign Language”, “Higher Mathematics”, “Physics”, “Computer Graphics”, “Informatics”, “Specialty Introductory Course” (for future Master and PhD students).

Currently, the following work is underway:

• the publication of new study and teaching guides;
• the integration of the results of scientific research carried out by the academic staff of the department into the educational process;
• the introduction of best practices into the educational process, including the use of ICT technologies.

In order to top up the qualifications of the academic staff of the department, methodological seminars are held during the academic year for subject lecturers on the topic “Linguodidactic features of teaching special subjects in a foreign audience”.

For each group of students, distance courses have been created, which are placed in the Electronic Educational System of BMSTU (https://e-learning.bmstu.ru/). 

Distance courses are aimed at a specific category of students and contain educational materials of various types (presentations for classes, audio and video files, tests, tasks for independent work, final tests, graphs, tables, diagrams, etc.).

To improve the effectiveness of training, online courses in the discipline “Russian as a foreign language” have been developed, which are located on the platform “Open BMSTU” (https://open.bmstu.ru/):
