Preparatory training for foreign citizens in the University is conducted from the day the resumption of admission for training of foreign citizens, i.e. since 1992. The training department for foreign citizens, as a unit of the Office of International Relations, was founded in 2000. The purpose of the training is to bring the knowledge of a foreign citizen in accordance with the requirements for a student or graduate student of MSTU. N.E.Bauman.
Duration of study – 10 months (from September 1 to June 30), including exams.
In general, training at the preparatory department of the University involves training in the following disciplines: Russian, physics, mathematics, introduction to the terminology of a specialty, computer science, chemistry, the basics of technical drawing, and geography.
The number of disciplines and their filling with educational material depends on the training program.
Students of the preparatory department are trained in groups of no more than 10 people. For foreign citizens who do not have an education officially recognized as relevant to Russian full secondary education, it is possible to facilitate training and obtain a certificate of complete secondary education.
